Harriet Tubman was Born into slavery in Maryland. She escaped to freedom to the North in 1849. She then made over 13 dangerous trips back to the south to free dozens of slaves. She was a conductor on the Underground Railroad. A network of secret routes and safe houses used by slaves to escape to free states in the north and Canada. In all her trips, she never lost a single passenger. 100% success rate.
Harriet Tubman died on March 10, 1913 of pneumonia at 89-92 years old. Her true age is somewhat of a mystery. Harriet was buried at Fort Hill Cemetery Auburn New York with full military honors.
